Nach einem langen Tag ging Tag 1b beim World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star $7.500 Main Event zu Ende und 155 von den gestarteten 389 Spielern sind noch im Turnier. Insgesamt kauften sich bis jetzt 700 Teilnehmer ein, aber bis heute 11:00 Uhr Ortszeit besteht noch die Chance sich zu registrieren. Die meisten Chips nach Tag 1b der 261 verbliebenen Spieler hat die WSOP Ladies Event Gewinnerin Haixia Zhang mit 281.000 Chips, gefolgt von Chance Kornuth mit 235.100 Chips.
Im Moment wird der Sieger des Shooting Star Events $1,1 Millionen mit nach Hause nehmen, aber der offizielle Chipcount wird erst heute im Laufe des Tages bekannt gegeben.
Wie auch im letzten Jahr haben sich sehr viele bekannte Poker Pros in dieses Turnier eingekauft, für Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Noah Schwartz, JC Tran, Scotty Nguyen und Mike Sexton war aber bereits nach Tag 1 Schluss.
Aus deutschsprachiger Sicht sind Igor Kurganov mit 151.000 und Marvin Rettenmaier mit 38.000 Chips noch im Rennen. Domink Nitsche wurde leider von Michael Loncar aus dem Turnier geworfen und erhielt die $2.500 Bounty, ein unterschriebenes Bounty T-Shirt und eine Bounty Medaille.
