Auf PokerStars läuft seit dem 18. Januar die Turbo Championship of Online Poker. In der bis zum 29. Januar laufenden Serie werden insgesamt $15 Millionen vom marktführeden Pokeranbieter garantiert. In zwei Tagen liefen bisher zehn Turniere, die wie immer sehr hoch frequentiert besucht waren.
Nach mehreren Finaltisch-Auftritten an Tag 1, durfte die deutschsprachige Community an Tag 2 gleich zweimal jubeln. Der Österreicher „monzemann“ siegte in Event #6, einem $215 NL Hold’em Progressive KO, für $41.176. Zusätzliche $7.126 kassierte er obendrauf an Bounties.
Für den zweiten Triumph bei der noch jungen TCOOP 2017 sorgte DannyDawkins aus Deutschland. Beim $82 PL Omaha 6-Max Turbo – Win The Button, setzte er sich gegen 1.305 Entries durch und kassierte dafür die Siegprämie von $15.168.
