In Atlantic City laufen derzeit die WPT Borgata Winter Open auf vollen Touren. Während sich 1.120 Spieler an den ersten beiden Starttagen des $3.500 Events anmeldeten, nutzten weitere 192 Spieler die Late-Registration und sorgten damit für einen neuen Teilnehmerrekord. Im Preispool befinden sich somit $4.199.712, wovon die besten 130 Akteure profitieren. Auf den künftigen WPT Champion warten stolze $892.433.
Einen wahren Ausnahmetag erwischte der neue Chipleader Jack Duong. Er war mit nur 27.000 Chips in Tag 2 gestartet und baute seinen Stack aus bis auf 727.500 Chips. Weiter vorne mit dabei ist auch Oliver Busquet. Nach einem starken Starttag Eins, beendete der ehemalige WPT Champion Tag 2 mit 540.500 Chips, was derzeit Position 7 in den Chipcounts bedeutet.
Unter den 168 Spielern, die den Tag erfolgreich meistern konnten, sind weitere namhafte Profis wie z.B. John Racener, Mike Dentale, Jason Wheeler, Shaun Deeb und Matt Glantz, um nur einige zu nennen.
