Furios begann der zweite Turniertag beim €5.300 Main Event der EPT Monte Carlo mit einem Flipout um einen der heiß begehrten Platinum Pässe. Der Franzose Paul Tedeschi hatte das meiste Glück und durfte über das $30k Package jubeln, das ihn im Januar 2019 gratis an der PokerStars Players No Limit Hold´em Championship auf den Bahamas teilnehmen lässt.
Kurz darauf startete Tag 2 mit den 286 erfolgreichen Spielern der zwei Starttage und einer Handvoll Spätregistrierungen. Insgesamt brachte es das Main Event damit auf 777 Entries, wodurch sich ein Preispool von €3.768.450 aufgebaut hat. Für den Sieger des zweiten EPT-Turniers dieser Saison sind €712.000 reserviert.
Einer der es gewohnt ist, um die Top-Preise bei großen Veranstaltungen mitzumischen, hat sich an Tag 2 die Chiplead erobert. Der US-Profi David Peters eilte mal wieder allen davon und darf Tag 3 mit einer Führung von mehr als 100.000 Chips beginnen. Zweiter in Chips ist der Russe Maxim Panyak. Zu den engeren Verfolgern zählen zudem bekannte Namen wie Nick Petrangelo, Rainer Kempe, Ole Schemion, Hossein Ensan, Josip Simunic oder Sam Greenwood.
Die deutschsprachige Riege wird an Tag 3 außerdem vertreten von Andre Haneberg, Florian Huber, Stefan Maurer, Aroldo Fioroni, Philipp Gruissem, Norberto Andres Korn, Sebastian Von Toperczer und Francois Evard.
Tag 3 beginnt mit noch 120 Spielern, für die es zunächst darum geht, einen der 111 bezahlten Plätze zu sichern. PokerStars TV bietet auch heute wieder ab 12:30 Uhr einen Livestream an.
