Die Entscheidung ist gefallen beim €260+30 Main Event des Sharkbay Festivals im King’s Resort in Rozvadov und es war ein Start-Ziel-Sieg, denn Sergei Konovalov hatte schon zu Beginn des Finaltages in Führung gelegen.
Der Russe war an diesem Tag einfach nicht zu schlagen und setzte sich im abschließenden Heads-up auch gegen „Reeves“ aus Deutschland durch. Zur Belohnung kassierte Konovalov €76.350 plus WSOPE-Ticket.
Neben „Reeves“, der €43.600 Preisgeld (plus Ticket) ausbezahlt bekam überzeugten aus deutscher Sicht auch Ingo Süss (€22.650 plus Ticket) als Vierter und „Deno“ (€10.300) als Siebter.
Insgesamt wurden beim Sharkbay Main Event 2.000 Entries gezählt und abzüglich Gebühren €494.000 auf die ersten 206 Plätze verteilt. Die ersten fünf Spieler durften sich zum Preisgeld über jeweils ein Ticket zum WSOP Europe Main Event im Wert von €10.350 freuen.
