Am Freitag ging es im Merit Royal Diamond Hotel auf Nordzypern mit dem Tag 3 des $5.000+$300 LuxonPay Mediterrranean Poker Party (MPP) Main Events weiter.
Bei dem Turnier waren insgesamt 1.032 Entries zusammen gekommen und damit ging es um die Garantiesumme von $5.000.000 (abzüglich Tournament Fee $4.747.200).
Am Ende von Tag 2 durften noch 161 Spieler ihre Chips eintüten. Da aber nur 155 Plätze bezahlt wurden mussten uns zum Start von Tag 3 noch sechs Akteure ohne Geld verlassen. Darunter auch der Deutsche Lennart Strauch. Als Bubble Boy erwischte es dann Tony G. (LTU). Tony war im Blind Battle für zehn Big Blinds vom Small Blind mit All-In und wurde von Joseph Haddad (Big Blind) mit gecallt. Das Board brachte und die verbliebenen 155 Teilnehmer hatten schon einmal $10.000 sicher. Für den Champion sind übrigens $750.000 reserviert.
Am Tag 3 wurde bis zum Ende von Level 28 gespielt und hier durften noch 21 Poker-Cracks ihre Chips für das Finale eintüten. Den Chiplead schnappte sich mit 11.045.000 (69 Big Blinds) der Franzose Hannes Jeschka. Erfreulich war auch das es zwei deutschsprachige Karten-Jongleure ins Finale schafften. Der Österreicher Manuel Fritz startet von Rang 8 mit 5.800.000 (36 Big Blinds) und der Schweizer Rachid Amamou geht von Rang 15 mit 3.000.000 (19 Big Blinds) in den großen Showdown. Alle Finalisten haben schon $30.000 sicher.
Das Finale startet am Samstag um 12:00 Uhr Ortszeit im Level 29 bei Blinds 80.000/160.000 (Big Blind Ante). Die Levelzeiten betragen weiterhin 60 Minuten. Der Average für das Finale liegt bei 4.914.286 (30,5 Big Blinds).
