Am Dienstagabend fiel im „Horseshoe“ und „Paris“ Hotel am Las Vegas Strip der Startschuss für die 54th Annual World Series of Poker 2023. Hier werden bis zum 18. Juli 2023 insgesamt 95 WSOP-Bracelet vergeben.
Los ging es am Dienstag mit den ersten beiden Bracelet-Events. Traditionell startet alles mit dem $500 Casinos Employees Event nur für Casino-Mitarbeiter. Außerdem waren die High Roller beim $25.000 NLH High Roller 6-Max Event #2 gefragt.
Event #2 – $25.000 NLH High Roller 6-Max Event
Als erstes für alle offenes Turnier wurde am Dienstag um 23:00 Uhr (MEZ) das $25.000 NHL High Roller 6-Max Event #2 gestartet. Hier gab es eine Startdotation von 150.000 (150 Big Blinds) und es wurden acht Levels à 60 Minuten gespielt. Da die Late-Registration und der Re-Entry noch bis zum Start von Tag 2 möglich sind, müssen wir auf die endgültigen Zahlen noch etwas warten.
Bereits am Tag 1 durfte man hier 187 Entries verbuchen und es liegen bereits deutlich über $4.000.000 im Preispool. Am Tag 1 mussten uns schon Karten-Cracks wie Weltmeister Koray Aldemir (GER), Alex Foxen (USA), Mikita Badziakouski (BLR) oder auch Erik Seidel (USA) wieder verlassen. Am Ende des Tages durften noch 58 High Roller ihre Chips für Tag 2 eintüten.
Den Chiplead holte sich der Österreicher Daniel Rezaei mit 1.368.000 (137 Big Blinds) vor Justin Liberto (USA) mit 1.147.000 (115 Big Blinds). Außerdem sind noch Bignames wie Shaun Deeb (USA), Justin Bonomo (USA), Phil Hellmuth (USA), Jason Koon (USA), Freedy Deeb (USA), Adrian Mateos (ESP) oder auch Daniel Negreanu (CAN) mit von der Partie.
Tag 2 startet am Mittwoch um 21:00 Uhr (MEZ) im Level 9 bei Blinds 5.000/10.000 (Big Blind Ante). Dann werden zehn Levels à 60 Minuten gespielt. Der Sieger wird erst im Finale am Donnerstag ermittelt.

Event #1 – $500 NLH Casino Employees Event (nur für Casino Mitarbeiter)
Starker Auftakt beim Casino-Mitarbeiter Event #1 mit über 1.000 Entries!
Bereits am Dienstag um 19:00 Uhr (MEZ) hieß es zum erstmal in diesem Jahr bei der WSOP „Shuffle up and deal“ und WSOP Vice President Jack Effel schickte beim $500 Casino Employees NLH Event #1 die Casino-Mitarbeiter auf die Reise zum legendären WSOP-Bracelet.
Es ging los mit 25.000 in Chips und am Tag 1 wurden 17 Levels à 40 Minuten gespielt. Hier durfte man bis zum Ende der Late-Registration 1.015 Entries verbuchen und so ging es neben den goldenen Armband noch um $426.300. Damit durfte man fast 200 Entries mehr als im Vorjahr verbuchen. Der Min-Cash auf Platz 153 brachte $801 und für den Champion waren $75.535 reserviert.
Deutschsprachige Teilnehmer konnten wir leider nicht ausmachen. Ins Finale schafften es gerade einmal zwei Spieler die nicht aus den USA kamen.
Insgesamt konnten sich 89 Akteure für das Finale qualifizieren. Den Chiplead hält der US-Amerikaner Benson Tam mit 889.000 (89 Big Blinds). Der Average liegt bei 285.112 (28,5 Big Blinds). Alle Finalisten haben schon ein Preisgeld von $1.047 sicher.
Das Finale startet am Mittwoch um 19:00 Uhr (MEZ) im Level 18 bei Blinds 5.000/10.000 (Big Blind Ante). Die Level dauert dann weiterhin 40 Minuten.
