WSOP Event #48 – $1.000 NLH Seniors World Championship (50 Jahre +)
Bei der $1.000 NLH Seniors World Championship wurde am Samstagabend der Tag 3 mit 217 der ehemals 8.180 Entries beim größten Seniors Event aller Zeiten gestartet. Im Preispool liegen neben dem Champions-Bracelet auch noch $7.280.200. Alle Spieler im Tag 3 hatten schon $5.138 sicher und für den Sieger sind $765.731 reserviert. Mit Martin Frei (SUI – Rang 45 – 42 Big Blinds) und Pavel Chalupka (AUT/SVK – Rang 63 – 35 Big Blinds) hatten wir auch noch zwei heiße Eisen im Feuer.
Bei Martin Frei (SUI) reichte es am Ende für Platz 78 für $9.540. Pavel Chalupka (AUT/SVK) belegte schließlich als bester DACH-Spieler den Platz 57 für $13.589.
Insgesamt haben am Ende des Tages noch 29 Senioren den Sprung in Tag 4 geschafft und nun schon $24.390 sicher. Den Chiplead hält Gordon Eng mit 15.975.000 (64 Big Blinds).
Der Tag 4 startet am Sonntag um 19:00 Uhr im Level 32 bei Blinds 125.000/250.000 (Big Blind Ante). Die Levelzeiten betragen weiterhin 60 Minuten. Der Average liegt bei 5.641.379 (22,5 Big Blinds).

Nick Pupillo holt das goldene Armband und $181.978 beim 2,5k Mixed Triple Draw Lowball Exoten-Event!
Leider hatte es kein DACH-Spieler ins Finale der besten 19 beim $2.500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball Event #52 geschafft. Als einziger deutschsprachiger Lowball-Experte schaffte es der Österreicher Alexander Freund auf Platz 36 für $4.769 ins Geld. Als Chipleader ging der US-Amerikaner Nicholas Pupillo in den letzten Tag. Alle Spieler hatten schon ein Preisgeld von $6.948 sicher. Der Löwenanteil des $785.425 Preispools sollte mit $181.978 für den Champion reserviert sein.
Nick Pupillo (USA) konnte seinen Chiplead durch den Tag bringen und bezwang schließlich im Heads-Up seinen Landsmann Ryan Moriarty. Anschließend nahm er das goldene Bracelet und $181.978 entgegen.
