Bei Event #40: $$1.500 Razz der World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2024 in den Paris und Horseshoe Casinos in Las Vegas wurde am Sonntag der Sieger gekürt.

Erfreulicherweise befand sich unter den letzten 14 Spielern der ursprünglich 547 Entrys mit Ingo Klasen auch noch ein DACH-Spieler.
Der Deutsche schlug sich auch am Finaltag hervorragend und durfte lange vom ganz großen Wurf träumen.
Letztlich schied er zwar auf Platz 3 aus und musste sich mit $64.588 begnügen, feierte aber seinen mit Abstand größten Live-Cash.
Den Sieg machten danach die beiden Bracelet-Gewinner Scott Seiver und Brandon Shack-Harris unter sich aus.
Seiver hatte den Tag als Führender begonnen und beendete ihn mit sämtlichen Chips, nachdem er seinem Kontrahenten genau eine Hand im Heads-Up gegönnt hatte.
Nach 39 Turnieren hat Scott Seiver damit bereits zwei Bracelets gewonnen und ist auf dem besten Weg zum Player of the Year.

136 Spieler kamen heute für den Tag 2 zurück, darunter interessante Namen wie Scott Seiver, Brandon Shack-Harris, Patrick Leonard, Victor Ramdin, Ryan Riess oder Todd Brunson. Aus DACH-Sicht hatten wir als Vertretung Heiko Hinkelmann und Ingo Klasen aus Deutschland.
Nach zehn Stunden Spiel blieben 14 Spieler übrig, welche heute für den Finaltag zurückkehren werden. Chipleader ist niemand geringerer als Scott Seiver, der versuchen wird, sein sechstes Bracelet zu gewinnen. Ingo Klasen wird weiterhin die DACH-Community vertreten. Er wird heute als Vierter in Chips zurückkehren. Der Sieger wird $141.374 und natürlich das goldene WSOP-Bracelet mit nach Hause nehmen können.

730 Spieler*innen kauften sich in den ersten 9 Leveln in das $1.500 Razz Event ein und sorgten für einen Preispool von $730.245. Beginnend mit einem Starting Stack von 25.000 Chips wurden 15 Level à 40 Minuten gespielt, ehe die verbleibenden 136 Spieler*innen ihre Chips für Tag 2 eintüten konnten. Die 83 Geldränge wurden damit noch nicht erreicht. 53 Spieler*innen müssen noch ausscheiden bevor der Mincash von $3.000 erreicht wird. Am Final Table wird das minimale Payout dann $10.132 betragen. Für den Sieg wird es $141.374 geben, etwas weniger als die $152.991 Siegprämie die Champion David „ODB“ Baker im Vorjahr gewann.
Bekannte Spieler, die sich in der 7-Card Stud Lowball Variante erfolgreich in Tag 2 spielten, waren der $.1500 Razz-Champion von 1997(!) Peter Brownstein (USA, 98., 60.000), Patrick Leonard (GBR, 64., 92.000), Ryan Riess (USA, 132., 5.000), Alex Livingston (CAN, 91., 67.000) oder Todd Brunson (USA, 110., 36.500). Auch der Titelverteidiger David „ODB“ Baker ist als 65. im Chipcount mit 92.000 Chips noch im Rennen.
Erfreulich aus deutschsprachiger Sicht war das Weiterkommen von Ingo Klasen und Heiko Hinkelmann. Die beiden deutschen Allrounder werden heute mit aussichtsreichen Stacks in Tag 2 starten – Klasen als 20. im Chipcount mit 167.000 Jetons, Hinkelmann als 72. mit 81.000.
Tag-1-Chipleader wurde der US-Amerikaner Andrew Kerstine mit 288.500 erspielten Jetons. Er führt vor seinem Landsmann, dem fünffachen Bracelet-Gewinner Scott Seiver, der 274.000 Chips hält. Ebenfalls in der Führungsgruppe unterwegs ist der WPT Championship Sieger von 2006, Victor Ramdin. Der Philanthrop liegt mit 230.500 Chips auf Platz 5 im Chipcount.
